The Wall Street Journal’s Managing Editor, Robert Thomson blew my mind today when I read that he claimed advertisers will stick with print newspapers during the downturn because they want “a safe harbor in times of turbulence.” Maybe its true, but I have my doubts. Especially considering newspapers lost $2 billion in ads in the third quarter of 2008 versus the same period in 2007.
